LSCM 1006 - Supply Chain Management: The Basics 

The supply chain involves the processes between three or more companies to bring product and related information from source of raw supply to the final consumer. In this course, students will be introduced to the difference between logistics and supply chain management, how relationships are built, information technology that will implement the supply chain, and the competitive advantages that can occur.

    • Describe the impact of supply chain management on the success and profitability of a modern company
    • Analyze the influence of the supply chain on major functional activities such as product design, manufacturing, inventory control, financial planning, transportation, and other major areas
    • Identify the major challenges to implementing a supply chain strategy, and the approaches to overcome these challenges
