I am 35 year old from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. I work as Warehouseman/Freight Expeditor for Hess Oil St. Lucia Limited, an American Multi National company. I decided to enroll in this course because the field seems exciting and promising and to make myself more marketable and ready for the ever changing workplace.
I come from a little country in Europe , Bosnia and Herzegovina . Currently, I am employed with British American Tobacco Bosnia at the position of Logistics Executive. I am responsible for the planning of the productions, communication with various factories across Europe , import, customs clearing, warehousing and transportation. I am sure that this course will develop my skills, and therefore I'll do my best to accomplish it. I searched the web and found this distanced learning option.
I graduated from University of Toronto (2003) with a HBA in Economics and Employment Relations.  I am currently working part-time as a Mathematics tutor at a tutorial school, and I hope that I could find a full time job in the Human Resources field.  I always hear people talking about logistics in Hong Kong , and I am not really sure what Logistics is, so I decided to deepen my knowledge by taking this course.
I’m female, 43 years old & presently living in Tokyo. A little about myself, I’m unemployed at the moment, though I’ve had 10 years of work experience in the garments industry. I handled exports/imports, all kinds of merchandising and production of garments. Prior to that, I worked in a freight company handling cargo. I started off within the service industry, in the Hotel Industry I worked for a couple of years at the front desk. I chose this course, because I need to equip myself with strong management skills and this course seems very apt for me, Since soon I will be relocating to Canada .
I'm 22 yrs old. I hope I'm not the youngest in the class.  I'm currently in my fourth yr in York University studying economics.  As I only have 2 courses this semester and will graduate in June, I thought that studying logistics would be great for my future.  I'm not with a company right now, but have many part-time and contract experiences from banking to restaurants.  I hope that this program will help me on my feet in starting a career in logistics
I recently graduated from university with a BSc in Math. I completed this degree on a part-time basis while working full-time.  I was an order entry/inventory control clerk at Valdi Foods for five years.  Then I became a sales support clerk at Maksteel for six years.  I am currently working with Schenker Stinnes Logistics as an inventory auditor since September.  I would like to pursue a career in logistics and supply chain management.
I've been employed with Irving Oil Limited based in Saint John , New Brunswick for 15 years.  I've had numerous roles within the company from working in the warehouse to purchasing.  My current role with Irving Oil is Sourcing Specialist - Transportation. As my duties relate directly with Transportation I hope to achieve intimate knowledge in the Transportation field.  I currently have implemented numerous initiatives that has made Irving Oil more cost efficient but would like to have the knowledge and expertise to provide more knowledge to review our Supply Chain processes.
I'm 46 years old and have been working in may different jobs, from being a cleaner to working as a Research Technician.  I currently work at Samuel Strapping Systems as a shipper, working there since August 2003.  I've worked for Samuel for 12 years, starting as general help then to working in research and development for 10 years. Cutbacks eliminated that position, then further cutbacks eliminated my position as a Project Coordinator (working at that position for 2 years).
I have been working in warehousing and distribution as a manager for over six years. I find it is important to have some background theory to associate to my experience, especially new technology and different methods use in other organizations. I expect this course brings me a more solid grasp in the fundamentals of logistics.
28yrs Japanese, living in Tokyo . I'm working at computer company as material planner. My main job is inventory management. Since I've started this job, I'm interested in studying this field. Well English isn't my first language, so I know I need to take more time than other students. I think this course is a challenge for me.
24 years old. I never got to complete my business computer systems diploma, so I've been hopping from job to job ever since. I have a lot of business experience at 21 I bought a franchise Excel communication which went up in smoke and that taught me the value of supply chain and logistics. Now I'm currently at Progisitics a third party logistics company.
I am a 35 year old male. I have been driving for various small businesses since I was 16 years old. Currently I am a DZ driver for Nadiscorp Transportation and have been with this company at different capacities for the last 10 years. I started in 1993 as a dock worker then after a few years took on a role as a helper in the D class trucks doing pickups and deliveries of High value products for IBM, GE Medical, Hewlet Packard etc. across Ontario . After learning the role of being a helper I then applied for, and received my DZ license, which I've been driving for 7 years now. I have decided that it is time for a new challenge and I would like to move into a management role. I am unsure as to what roles I may be eligible for after I complete this course, but I'm starting by concentrating on the education first.
